What to include in a bug report

Ask users to include:

  • macOS version
  • PowerPoint or Keynote version
  • whether they used the menu bar app or npx pptem-all
  • the localhost port in use
  • screenshots or short screen recordings if relevant
  • whether AI Polish was enabled

Common issues

Plugin cannot connect

Confirm:

  • the local agent is running
  • the plugin port matches the agent port
  • Figma Desktop is being used if browser security policies block localhost

PowerPoint does not update

Confirm:

  • PowerPoint is installed
  • macOS Automation permissions were granted
  • the local agent is still running

AI Polish fails

Confirm:

  • Base URL is correct
  • model name is correct
  • API key is valid
  • the chosen provider accepts the request format
