Summary
PPT’em All is designed so the core export workflow runs locally on the user’s machine through a local desktop agent.
The plugin does not require a developer-hosted backend for the normal Figma-to-PowerPoint flow.
Data processed
The plugin may process:
- selected frame structure
- text, images, and layout data from the current file
- local connection settings such as localhost port
- optional AI Polish settings entered by the user
Local storage
The plugin may store settings in Figma plugin storage on the local device, including:
- preferred localhost port
- conversion settings
- optional AI Polish Base URL
- optional AI Polish model name
- optional AI Polish API key
Localhost communication
To apply slides on the user’s Mac, the plugin connects to a local agent over localhost.
That local connection is part of the core product behavior.
AI Polish
AI Polish is optional.
If the user enables it:
- requests are sent only to the Base URL the user configured
- the developer of PPT’em All does not require a developer-hosted AI backend for the core workflow
- users should review the privacy terms of the AI provider they choose
Remote assets
The plugin may fetch remote assets from approved public domains when needed for rendering.
macOS permissions
The local agent may request Automation permissions from macOS so it can control presentation software on the same machine.
